Offseason - boom - 2025-10-24
After an exciting season where we finished sixth in the table of the SSL Minors Division, the mood was high around the CS Rova Mpanjaka stadium as the offseason training started. I was looking forward to trying to build off my strong rookie performance with 8 goals and 4 assists, pretty solid two-way stats, and meshing well with the team's scheme. I loved when I could bang around near the offensive end of the pitch and create chances that my teammates or myself could capitalize on, and I was excited to continue developing my skills for the organization with the goal of eventually earning a call-up.
Over the summer break, I headed back to my home country, the place where I'd hopefully be playing long-term soon for Liffeyside Celtic FC. My family was home, as was Caitlin, who was preparing for the IIHF and World Junior tournaments. The big event of the summer for me, in contrast, would be the upcoming SSL draft. I wouldn't have to worry about wondering where I would end up in beginning my career, but it was still exciting to get to see who I would end up sharing a pitch with for the upcoming SSL season if I ended up playing on Rova for another year. Wherever I ended up, I was feeling confident that I'd be able to make the best of it.
