Big Season for Sandro? - gucci - 2025-11-06

After a middling rookie campaign where Sandro da Silva came back down to earth after a 13 assist rookie campaign for Krung Thep, Sandro is looking to set the record straight this upcoming season and establish himself among the top young fullbacks in the Majors. For Sandro, it’s bigger than just his Tenochtitlan ambitions this season with the WSFC rearing its head and looming over the season for everyone. While Sandro knows that he will be a part of the team in some way, he hopes to establish himself as a key player for the squad and to represent South America in the latter stages of the tournament. He knows that if he wants a chance to shine on the world stage, that he will need to have a big season with his club.

He’s mostly improved as a defender since he’s made the jump to the majors, but this season Sandro hopes to get back on track and develop himself into a more attacking threat from the back line. He will continue to train his crossing, dribbling, and physical attributes while working more closely on his technique and getting more whip on on his crosses, potentially even using the outside of his right boot more rather than messing around with his weaker left foot. These changes will give him new angles to distribute from when opponents looks to take the touchline away from him and force him into the center of the pitch.

Sandro should benefit from Tenochtitlan’s all around improvement quite a lot. The young core group that he’s broken through to the majors with (including Patterson, Roger, Caetano, and Elliot) in addition to those who have a few more seasons of top flight experience are poised to enter the early stages of their primes in the next season or two, and the rising tide of talent should lift all boats as they say. After overachieving to finish 5th in the league last season, Tenochtitlan has lofty ambitions of bettering that position this season before maybe finding themselves title challengers once the leagues split and return to promotion and relegation once again. Sandro knows how big this season is for both his club and continent, and will give all he has to improve and put himself and his teams in the best opportunity to achieve their ambitions.

Sandro has set a personal goal to double his assist tally from last season and to score a goal, which would be his first since being drafted by his organization. Let’s see if he can get it done.

26 assists and a goal would be crazy, good luck! 4/5
