Inter London versus Rapid Magyar. The away team is on a 3 game unbeaten streak. A 4-1 win over Athenai F.C., beating Krung Thep after penalties in the cup qualifying, followed by a convincing 5-1 beating against the same opponent. London is on a 3 game losing streak in the league, while beating Montréal 2-0 in the cup. Magyar kicks off and retains possession for the first minutes, resulting in the first shot on goal. Their constant pressure pays off. In the 9th minute. A combination between Stampe and N'Goussou creates space for Albinson up front, sees N'Goussou followed up with a run, completely unmarked in the box and the rookie makes easy work off of that chance. 0-1 to Rapid Magyar within the first 10 minutes. The following 20 minutes offer little entertainment, a few small chances here and there but nothing to write home about. Out of nowhere however it's Inter London with the equaliser! Squid clears to the side, the ball hits the corner flag and stays in play. Squid picks up and tries to find Mandragoran but the pass is nowhere near good enough and O'Neill intercepts in the Magyar box. Squid, still seemingly off put by his pass, doesn't move and lifts the offside trap, O'Neill is not selfish and gives Cain a non missable chance for the 1-1. What a mistake, Squid wishes he'd stayed in bed this morning. Without creating much, London is back in this game. Three minutes later, Milano throws in to Bunson, Bunson to Albinson. Alves beats Albinson to the ball, Bunson is quick to pick up and finds van Grimbergen in the center who fires a rocket to the top bin, Stun Gun Jr is nailed to the floor. That was an incredible effort. Magyar back in the lead. The period leading up to half time, London finds a bit of energy and creates the better chances, but no goals. Second half, Volkan enters the pitch, Cain stays behind in the dressing room. Magyar regains momentum early in the second half, creating a handful of chances. The first real chance is for London in as much as the 72nd minute. Milano clattered O'Neill and the penalty was rewarded after watching the footage. Kovács has the prime opportunity to put London back next to Magyar on the scoreboard. It's Asprey that's slowly turning into the hero for the Hungarians as he tips the penalty kick wide! 90th At this stage it's Inter London that has the upper hand, but cannot force a break. Mainly thanks to a super performance of the Magyar keeper. 90th minute stars, and beside the penalty, nothing notable happened. We find ourselves with a Rapid corner kick, Albinson finds an English head. N'Goussou picks up the ball and brings it back to Albinson, Albinson finds Stampe in the middle, shoots and scores! The ball got deflected on route to goal, but it matters not! 1-3 to Magyar, surely it's over now. Player of the match, with an 8.4 rating, is Rapid Magyar goalkeeper James Asprey. A wonderful performance that kept his team in the game.
