How you doing Lax? A season summary. - GHamss - 2025-12-01 Anyone who scouted Snor Lax after his Academy season was expecting big things from the even larger being. In an Academy class that touted four franchise altering goalkeepers, Snor Lax stood above the rest on and off the pitch. Since then, Snor Lax has been (willingly) on some developing teams which has led to some struggles when it comes to preventing the ball from going into the back of his net. When you look deeper into the stats though, it doesn’t mean Snor Lax is cooked (I used a cool kids term!). Through 10 league matches and two cup games, Snor Lax is still proving that as an individual, he is doing the best he can to keep his team in it. Starting with the cup matches, Liffeyside has won both their matches. After the two matches, Snor Lax has the best average rating for any GK that played in more than one match. He’s conceded just one goal over the 180 minutes played, has the third most saves held, and is in second for save % at 88.89%. That's nearly 10% higher than his expected save percentage which sits at 79.06%. Lax sits in third with 1.71 expected goals saved across the two matches. Over in the league matches, the team has struggled, sitting in third last with 11 points and a record of 2-2-6 with 18 goals for and 29 goals against. With 6 losses already in the book, Lax is tied for second most losses amongst the goalkeepers. He’s also conceded the second most goals in the league. These are stats you don’t want to be in the conversation about. Regardless, Lax is near the top in some of the individual categories. He sits fourth in average match rating at 7.03. Lax is third in saves parried with 29, fifth in saves held with 19 and sixth in saves tipped. We see him sitting seventh in save % at 66.27, a number that is unexpectedly low for Lax. He is one of only four goalies to have saved at least one penalty kicked. When we compare his save % to his expected save %, we see a difference of -10% ish. His expected save % is 77.75%. This shows that despite being on a developing team, Lax has room to improve himself. I’d like to also note that this is the third lowest expected save % in the league. Further proof that Lax is maybe spending too much time relaxing in net is his expected goals prevented which is sitting at -1.42. The fourth worst in the league. Overall, Liffeyside is struggling to keep the ball out of the net. Despite a good average match rating and some other stats, Lax isn’t exactly helping his team. I’d like to see him level up his game to where he is earning some wins for the Celtics. Word count: 479 RE: How you doing Lax?
