S24 Mock Draft by McLumberjack - McLumberjack - 2025-12-24 With the academy season coming to an end that only means one thing DRAFT TIME BABY I thought I would kick off the fun with a nice little mock draft, the draft order should be correct at the writing of this but there is still a lot that can change in the majors with the last draft day coming up. [DISCLAIMERS] For anyone reading this and if they are not happy with their draft position, when I got drafted last season @Lpapi wrote a mock draft too where he had me somewhere down in the second, which made going in the first round even more sweet. Not going first is not a problem, it is up to you to show all the scouts that they are terrible at their jobs. I do not know what I am talking about I did not actually look at which positions teams needed, this is mostly vibe/activity/TPE based. Lets start it off then! Round 1 1.01 Tokyo SC - Bodhi Grizz - @Ltblackgrizzly - CDM - 403 TPEBodhi Grizz is everything you would expect from a first round pick. Active in the discord, motivated and earning well. Tokyo can count themselves lucky they are able to go first as this is not a player that would be on the board for a long time. Position wise Tokyo is in the situation that they could use help in a lot of places and they will have no trouble fitting Bodhi in somewhere in Cairo. 1.02 CF Catalunya - Turd Ferguson - @Turd Ferguson - LWB - 380 TPETurd Ferguson joined a little late in this draft group but instantly was able to make his mark, a strong presence in the locker room, experience from various different sims and a good earner to boot. On top of all that he is also an academy winner with Victoria Falls. Turd might just be the lucky charm Catalunya need. 1.03 CA Buenos Aires - Scat Cat - @Soviet Sexpot - ST - 414 TPEA bombastic addition, Scat Cat is a kitty with bravado, make sure you do not get scratched! Scratch they did as they scored 17 goals in their opening season, pair this with being the second highest earner of the class and Scat Cat is a shoe in for a top 3 pick. 1.04 Schwarzwälder FV - Stefano Rosini - @Steee - LAM - 396 TPEStefano Rosini has been a positive addition to their locker room and has kept up with the big boys when it comes to earning. Having some sim league experience from elsewhere Stefano makes it in the top 5 easily and could provide a real injection for SFV 1.05 Xelajú Cósmico FC - Austin Morley - @soevil - CD - 403 TPEPassionate, driven, confident and perhaps a.... little impatient. Austin Morley is a locker room presence that will light a fire under your entire team. The best is the bare minimum for Austin and Xelaju could really need this if they want to promote/stay in the first division. 1.06 A.C. Romana - Patrick Zwieg - @saket23 - CAM - 367 TPEPatrick Zwieg should not be slept on, he has been earning well, playing well and been one of the more active discord members. A.C Romana could definitely use the rejuvination that Patrick could provide. 1.07 Liffeyside Celtic FC - Otto Rocket - @Prayl07 - RM - 345 TPEA late joiner that hit the ground running, blasting through his academy tasks and earning TPE left right and center. Otto Rocket is also an experienced sim leaguer and a familiar face for many so even with the late start a first round pick is inevitable. 1.08 Reykjavik United - Lisfor ilovezeagLe - @lemonoppy - CAM - 421We need to talk about the elephant in the room, 8 picks in and the highest earner has not been picked yet. I wont (re)make a big deal about it all I will say is that regardless of any possible doubts teams might have, Lisfor ilovezeagLe WILL be picked in the first round. Number 1 earner, already has a job (if not multiple) very well known from other sim leagues and on top of all that one of the best performers in the acedemy season. If Reykjavik manages to motivate Lisfor this will be the draft steal of the century. 1.09 Liffeyside Celtic FC - Vumion Stitcherson - @Vumion - RWB - 334 TPEAnother sim leaguer with experience, Vumion has been lighting up the field AND the discord so far and deservedly ends up in the top 10. They could have ended a lot higher if they had earned a little bit more TPE at this point but if they can start earning a bit better Liffeyside would have gotten a steal at pick 9. 1.10 CD Tenochtitlan - Peach Toadstool - @WildfireMicro - ST - 387 TPEAnother possibility of great value, Peach Toadstool has had some motivational issues in the past however they have been a great earner so far. Pair that with a very pleasant locker room presence and some excellent articles makes it that if you keep Peach engaged and active, you will have a black friday level deal at pick 10. 1.11 CD Tenochtitlan - Stan Smith - @armond2193 - CAM - 336 TPEStan Smith a complete newcomer in sim leagues and that is beautiful to see. Being able to say you go first round in your first draft ever is something not everyone can say. I think the combination of locker room presence and a medium, but consistent earning has definitely earned him this 11th spot. 1.12 CF Catalunya - Brad Woof - @Brad Woof - GK - 342 TPEBrad Woof GOT THAT DAWG IN HIM, just sneaking into the first round and deservedly so. Another familiar face, another decent earner and another great locker room addition, Catalunya will have made a sensible choice if they pick up Brad. For the second round I will only be putting comments for picks that have some special circumstances or that I personally know something about, if you feel like you should have gotten a comment you can reply to this post or better yet ping me in the discord ;) Round 2 2.13 Tokyo SC - Robert Robertson - @Arctic - CD - 330 TPEOnly issue is the earning, could have easily been a first round pick if some more PT's were done. The vibes are immaculate. 2.14 CF Catalunya - Xuxu Jang - @davidlostt7 - RAM - 316 TPEI have Xuxu Jang a little above what the TPE would have you think. I think if they are able to get a job or find something to get those PT's done that they are an super exciting addition to any team. 2.15 CA Buenos Aires - Tito Esposito - @coachsj35 - CAM - 329 TPE2.16 Liffeyside Celtic FC - Allen Gray - @Rager - CAM - 331 TPE2.17 Xelajú Cósmico FC - Takaharu Suzuki - @Sajkashi - CM - 305 TPEA little bit of a false start, however if Takaharu can stay motivated and engaged they could be an amazing uplifting force in the locker room that could be another steal all the way down in 17th. 2.18 União São Paulo - Jerry Kirkland - @chaserck - CM - 313 TPE2.19 Liffeyside Celtic FC - Johnboy Malava - @KiwiFooty12 - CAM - 316 TPE2.20 Reykjavik United - Miester Blobbe - @Jelley - ST - 395 TPENow this is a controversial pick, a real gamble so to say. However all the way down in pick 20 I think the reward outweighs the risk. Miester Blobbe will unfortunately have to leave us because of job responsibility. However you never know how life turns out, maybe the job is easier than expected and he will have extra freetime. The time he did spent here Blobbie has proven himself to be an easy first round maybe even first overall pick. I think taking the risk here is a no brainer. 2.21 Tokyo SC - Jonathon Stitcherson - @Joriel - CM - 331 TPE2.22 CD Tenochtitlan - Oscar Action - @Sen - RAM - 317 TPE2.23 União São Paulo - Sergio Raskel - @Pannekoek - CDM - 329 TPE2.24 CF Catalunya - Sami Bahoum - @TheRealSBH - LAM - 316 TPE
RE: S24 Mock Draft by McLumberjack - soevil - 2025-12-25 I’ve never heard of Xelajú Cósmico FC but I can assure you they will get high marks in my majors branding grade RE: S24 Mock Draft by McLumberjack - Matt Turk - 2026-01-01 Mock draft pog. Little does he know Liffeyside is trading to get all the picks. Media Grade 5/5 RE: S24 Mock Draft by McLumberjack - Wiggli - 2026-01-01 Ah draft season! Always so much fun. New blood for the league, a chance for all teams regardless of their standing in the past to mix things up and look forward to the future. And of course we get to enjoy some great mock draft media! Thanks for the effort to put this together we get a good insight into a number of the potential draftees and it is well organized making it easy to see the draft order and the thought process you went through (and imagine the drafting teams might be going through). As a member of Hollywood it is interesting as we have used some of our draft capital in prior years to build up our team (successfully so I would say!) but it means we have less to dream on during this year's draft (though we still have some youthful talent brewing!). Going back to your mock, I appreciate that you didn't simply follow TPE earning to slot players. It seems like you really prioritized locker room activity and experience in other sim leagues. I think that is equally important to TPE earned pre-draft as this really is about the long haul so you want to see that players are interested and committed to the process long term. And you are so right about the advice for draftees disappointed by their mock position. Plenty of time to prove the doubters wrong! Code: 236 words |
