There are almost sims again! Kaspars really has had no idea what to do with himself over the break. I mean sure, he’s been training as usual, and picking away at his ability to get around the field and pursue his marks. But after a while, it can be hard to keep that kind of focus without some sort of match to keep you in the here and now.
Well, that match should be soon, as he will be getting some field time with Eastern Europe in preliminary WFSC action, probably this evening. It has always been a dream of his to represent his general geographic region on the world stage, and to do it so young is a real treat. Obviously the expectations on him in the midfield will be incredibly high, but that’s the exact kind of pressure you come to love and cherish as a professional athlete.
After the WFSC, it will be right into the regular season, with a return to Rova, his team, his facilities, and pedal to the metal all season long. He’s done the work to transition himself from an Academy player to a bonafide professional, and now is where the fun begins. This is the time where he gets to exhibit his style, play into the tactical systems, and make a name for himself.
