Post WSFC Press Conference with Norden - piza - 2026-01-07 Manager Piza walks into the press room after the 2nd friendly before the WSFC tournament begins. Interviewers immediately call for his attention.
"Mr Piza, you were an emergency hiring due to unknown circumstances with the previous manager. You were assigned multiple tasks at high speed, making rosters, and utilizing those rosters to make a tactical approach that suits the squad. How do you feel you've done on a tactical standpoint coming up to the big deal?" an interviewer asked. Mr. Piza thought for a split second. "I think that for being new to the manager role I've done quite well. Obviously the first friendly, we lost 1-0. Tight margins, that what it comes to. Defensively I think we were solid with putting the pressure on Asia. The attack worried me, we had minimal chances. The midfield is fine but needs more involvement for my liking. I believe we did better just now against Canada. We started slow but we were able to grow comfortably into the game and we saw improvement in the final third. I think the substitutions did their jobs just right as well." Another interviewer waved for the attention of the Norden manager. "Mr. Piza, it is very noticeable that you seem to be using Dina Skovgaard (@RAmenAmen) a lot when attacking down the wing. Just how important are they in your tactical setup?" "Dina is a great asset not only in my defense but my attack. They help progress the ball up the field when we have trouble doing that in the middle, and a lot of our chances ultimately come from Dina. I hope that they continue to do what they are doing because eventually goals come out of it, right?" The press officer calls out, "Last question please, last question before we end." Piza points at an interviewer who raises her hand politely. "Mr Piza, you have taken the Norden job and have had two matches to prove yourself, yet you are winless in both while the real deal is coming up. What makes you think you will be able to prove yourself and meet expectations of getting out the group?" Piza squinted his eyes. "People are right to question my status. I've been testing players in different positions with different substitutions and lineups. While I haven't won in the friendlies, I believe the squad is really excited for the WSFC and all the energy will be put towards leaving the group stage positively. I have plans to do great things with this region and I hope that my vision will come to life." Manager Piza leaves the media room confidently, and off to the tactic board to prepare for the upcoming challenges soon to be faced. |
