Sébastien Dubois’ passion for soccer isn’t something that appeared over night. It was fostered and nurtured over years in many ways, but most notably at the playgrounds after school hours with his brother and his brother’s friends. Sébastien never really had anyone his age to hang out with but his older brother’s group accepted him with open arms. This was a blessing and a curse for Sebastien. He had a very tough time adapting to the pace of the older kid’s play and was at a physical disadvantage to begin with. But these things didn’t stop him. Instead, he took the hits on the chin and did his best to keep up.

While it was always difficult for him when playing with his brother’s friends, it was also preparing Sebastien for league play in a way no other practice could have. By the time he reached high school and tried out for the school team, he was already one step ahead of everyone at the tryouts. He was an easy pick for the main roster and made a comfortable career out of his highschool appearances. Everything he achieved though he owed to his brother and his brother’s friends for helping him and pushing him instead of taking it easy in him when they knew he was younger than the rest.

Now a new chapter is about to begin in Sébastien’s life and he can only hope that his dedication and preparation will translate to success in the SSL. In a few weeks Sebastien will be entered into the draft and every team will have a chance to pickup this upcoming striker. While he knows the draft is still a while a way, he urges any interested GMs to reach out and give him a chat prior to the draft. While his play will surely speak for itself, he would like to offer everyone ample time to ask any question they may have to help solidify a draft day decision.
