Hello everyone ! The 5th game day of the SSL Academy has ended. I played as a member of the Victoria Falls Eagles on the road against Stockholm IK at the Estadio de São Paulo. Now I'll tell you how this match went for us.
From the first minutes, Stockholm began to put pressure on our goal, which, unfortunately, brought a quick goal into our goal in the 6th minute from a corner kick. This goal cheered us up and we started to counterattack. Unfortunately, in one of Stockholm's attacks, we made a mistake that led to a penalty goal. But after 4 minutes, a penalty was awarded to Stockholm, which I executed perfectly, separating the ball and the goalkeeper in different corners. This ended the first half. In the second half, we continued to put pressure on the opponent's goal, but the ball stubbornly did not want to go into the goal. And only in compensated time, at 90+1 minutes in the last Vivi Nefertari attack from Heather Bull Legend saves the match for us, bringing everything to a 2-2 draw. Overall, the match turned out to be quite difficult for us. We had an advantage on xG: 2.21 versus 1.52. But this is football, and statistics often do not reflect the real game and the result. I played well overall (7.1) and scored a goal (1+0). All we have to do is take into account the mistakes and draw conclusions from them in order to play our best in the next matches.
