Silver To Worlds - SilverBlitzenAG - 2026-02-15 “Mr. Tarandus? This is the manager of the West African national team. We’ve been reviewing the lineage of several players and recently discovered enough proof to secure you a place on our team.” Silver kept replaying that conversation in his head for the next few weeks. He was even thinking about it at practice, until his absentmindedness caused him to take a pass to the beak. He quickly got up, waving the trainer off, feeling really embarrassed about the situation. He tried pushing it out of his head, but all he could do was put it in a corner of his mind long enough to get practice over with and get back home. Once he was home, his mind continued the message from earlier. “Yeah, turns out your grandfather was adopted by a Malagasy couple and he was granted citizenship. Because of his citizenship, you’ve got just enough justification to play for West Africa.” Silver was stunned when he heard that information. He always knew that about hit paternal grandfather, but he didn’t realize that it would be enough to play for another country. Silver wanted to play for the Stars and Stripes, but knew that the competition was fierce and he would be unlikely to see international play for a while for the American team. He'd get there eventually, but the urge to get to the national stage was great. Silver dialed the number back. It rang, and eventually the line was picked up. "Let's do it." 248 words |
