Papi's ready to win - Lpapi - 2026-03-02
No one would say that Lucas "Papi" Peioxoto has had a bad start to his career but it has been a tale of second places. In his academy season Atletico Medellin finished 2nd. In his rookie season in the minors FC Kaapstad finished 2nd. Papi finished 2nd in rookie of the year voting to AS Paris' Bob Berendsen, and he is currently 2nd in the class in tpe. This is immensely dissapointing to the young footballer as he has great competitive spirit and views Berendsen and ASP as his bitter rivals. Papi is ready to win and he knows just what needs to happen to get some redemption for all of his close fails.
Currently FC Kaapstad is in first place in the Minors Division 1 race but by only a point. Just behind is AS Paris, and Bob Berendsen who dealt him his 2nd place finishes last season. Next matchday will be the 2nd leg of that season series and Papi's status as a winner or a career loser hangs in the balance. In their young careers they have faced off 3 times already. Papi and Kaapstad have the advantage in the individual matchup so far with a 2-1 lead in wins. In the most recent match Papi was named player of the match due to 2 pivotal assists and he hopes to yet again be the catalyst in a Kaapstad victory.
