Off-Season
Congratulations to União São Paulo and F.C. Kaapstad for winning their respective league championships and to Xelajú Cósmico F.C. for winning the SSL Cup! We've also experienced two exciting promotion playoff matches where both CF Catalunya and Rapid Magyar SC gained promotion to their respective division 1 alongside the automatically promoted Xelajú Cósmico F.C. and North Shore United.Tomorrow, Monday March 23, marks the start of the official off-season period for pending FA purposes.
Pending FA period
Any player that is on an expiring contract (no contract signed for TODO S25) is considered a Pending Free Agent at the start of the off-season. Organizations may at that time contact a Pending FA and negotiate a contract.
Any Pending FA is not officially a Free Agent until the start of the next season thus they may still sign an extension with their current team during the off-season week without reducing the team's transfer budget. We just have to make one thing clear: A manager may not force a player to provide intent to sign. This week is intended for players to be able to talk to teams and be shown alternatives for how their future may look.
Re-rolls and redistribution
S23 players have one last chance this week to submit a re-roll and S24 players have one last chance to use their redistribution for their player via the portal.
Seasonal Change
If you want to retire but still have a corpse season for your player, you need to wait until the start of the next season. Any player retiring during the off-season is retired at the end of the season and will not get a corpse season.
Due to the changes with the portal, the new draft class will officially start up on March 30th with the start of the new season. Any players created during the week of March 23 to March 29 will not be approved until the following week.
SSL Prospect Draft and Next Draft Class
We are also gearing up for the SSL Prospect that is set to take place on March 29 at TBA. The draft order can be found here.
Regression and Portal
Regression will be run later today and the resulting TPE will be directly removed from each affected player's TPE total. A regression post will be published on the forum which will also indicate players that are automatically retired.
The deadline for regressing your player in the portal is April 3rd..
