Academy Season Food Blog - Duilio05 - 2026-03-27
Hello to all of my blogging readers and fans. I am truly sorry for not posting as much about the various eats I had this season. This post is my apology for that, in which I will share the best meals I tasted while traveling around the world during the SSL Academy season. I already posted about my favorite eats when at home in Kingston, Jamaica. This blog post is about all the other team cities: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe; Sydney, Australia; Stockholm, Sweden; Jakarta, Indonesia; Istanbul, Turkiye; Accra, Ghana; and Medellin, Colombia. The local food in each city was its own unique experience. Jakarta was incredibly spicy. I ate the most fish in a single day ever in Stockholm. In Accra and Victoria Falls I enjoyed the most delicious fruits I had never heard of before. Of course, when the team played Istanbul, I absolutely had to have a Turkish coffee. Then in Medellin, they too have incredible fruit and coffee. I know you all would want me to compare foods from one city to another and rank them. But the only thing i will say is my absolute favorite meal this season was in Sydney. Sydney is an incredible melting pot of people from all over Asia and even Africa. My favorite meal was eating grilled kangaroo in curry and teriyaki dishes. With love - Vincent Haye
