Kit number, dreams and a running joke : JDK26 - Moka26 - 2026-03-31

In the euphoria of being picked in the first round of the draft (thanks to  LON ACR  for the trust), JDK couldn't help but ping his OM about the kit number he wanted.

Before being scouted, he usually never got the chance to play enough football. According to his parents, he was too intelligent, too brilliant to go this route, even though his father was an ex-pro footballer. Maybe exactly because he was an ex-pro footballer. He particularly preferred his son to finish school and be a brilliant software engineer (or just about anything that can make him proud) and gain a lot of money to not go through the post-career, which is more difficult when you play at lower levels.
When he saw his son being drafted, the relief could be seen in his face, for him and his son's financial future.

About the number, JDK usually takes the number 16. Why ? First of all, it's two digits, so it's wider than the usual number 1 for the main keeper. It's pretty fitting, as it's usually a long name on his kits.
But around the start of the season, he heard that there was a new version of the Java Development Kit called JDK 26. It was a running joke at uni to say that they "installed the JDK in the class" or something along those lines ; so he's starting to wonder if he would pick the 26 instead as his number. Another funny thing about it : he was born a 26th, and he's starting his rookie season in 2026, so it would be really great to pick this number.
