Locker room impressions - PT #228 - Jeanious - 2026-04-02
Walking into the Stockholm IK locker room for the first time, Dennis van Huntelrooy tried to act like he’d done it a hundred times before. In reality, it’s a bit different when you’re standing there, not really sure where to put your stuff or if you’ve picked the wrong seat.
The room had a mix of players from different places, and you could feel it straight away. Different accents, different personalities, but all in the same boat now. Baptiste Azzola and Rich Wynne were already deep in conversation, while Geronimo Datbasted seemed relaxed, taking everything in. Martin Krpan and Jack Pow looked locked in, the type who are already thinking about the first match.
The manager still hasn’t been announced yet, which leaves a bit of uncertainty. No one really knows what to expect.
Later on, a few older players came in to speak. No big speeches, just some simple advice: work hard, enjoy it, and don’t take the opportunity for granted. It wasn’t anything special, but it hit the point.
Dennis listened quietly. He knows he’s new here, but that won’t stay that way for long. This is just the starting point, and he plans on making sure people notice him sooner rather than later.
