S26 Round 1 Mock Draft - anjro - 2026-05-11 I saw a lack of mock drafts so I thought I would contribute by adding maybe the 1st of the season. Since I don’t know much about soccer and team needs, I thought I would adopt and modify a method I saw in the ISFL forums where you spin a wheel and select accordingly. The method I used was to list all the available positions as options on a wheel and then spin for each pick. Then I did the same thing but with letter pairings in the alphabet, because everyone loves more letters. Example: AB, CD, EF… I used those letter pairings to indicate the first initial of the player that would be selected and intended to take the one with the highest TPE. If there was no match, then I would re-spin until I found one. Eventually, I would remove wheel entries if there were not very many eligible draftees available. I got the draft order from an anonymouse source. 1 Rome & London Position: CM Name Spins: MN, ST Pick: Star Scream Congratulations you are the 1OA pick in my mock draft. A prestigious honor. Port Royal bias? 2 Black Forest & Montreal Position: LAM Name Spins: QR, EF, WX, UV, QR, QR, MN Pick: Joe Mormor It was around this pick I was debating whether or not I should remove letter pairings after they’ve been drawn for that pick to speed up the process. 3 Black Forest & Montreal Position: LWB Name Spins: IJ Pick: Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited Nice, only one spin required. 4 Buenos Aires & Athenai Position: LM Pick: Owen Bryant Only one player was eligible at this position so I did not do first initial spins. If only all of them were like this. 5 Shanghai & Magyar Position: LD Name Spins: QR Pick: Roberto Chávez Sweet another easy one. An inactive though, might be a reach if they don’t come back. 6 Xelaju & Masques Position: LAM Name Spins: MN, AB, OP, KL Pick: Kairo Vox Slid all the way down to 6OA even though they are the 4th highest TPE in the class. What a steal. 7 Liffyside & Rova Position: RD Name Spins: MN, WX, QR, UV, OP, CD, GH, IJ, KL, ST Pick: Scorp E. Unshark They were called out in another media piece as being a solid earning player at a premium position so going 7OA is great value. It was also here that I started removing duplicate letter pairings in spins for a single draft selection. 8 Sao Paulo & Paris Position: CM Name Spins: ST Pick: Tim Quackareedoo Our first striker off the board. Maybe not who you expected, but it was who the GMs wanted at least in this mock. 9 Reykjavik & North Shore Position: CD Name Spins: OP Pick: Peter Castellani Our 2nd inactive. 10 Shanghai & Magyar Position: RD Pick: Ewan Purves There were no more RDs left so there was no need to do the name spins. Crazy that they all went in round 1, what an important position. 11 Hollywood & Cape Town Position: GK Name Spins: EF Pick: Eric Duic Our first GK. 12 Catalunya & Seoul Position: ST Name Spins: QR, EF, QR, EF, MN Pick: Nacho Kusora I figured there were enough strikers where I wouldn’t have to worry about it landing on the same letter grouping more than once, turns out I was doubly wrong. A solid pick with our 2nd striker. They have been tearing it up in the academy. I hope you enjoyed my very serious mock draft. I am sure it will play out like this otherwise the fates have lied to me. |
