Stevens Ready for Draft - Toast - 2026-05-31
The Academy season provided a lot of fun for the new draft class that is about to hit the SSL, and midfielder Cory Stevens was one of those to discover a love for the game through his time with the Academy.
"I wasn't sure what to expect going into it," said Stevens. "I was incredibly fortunate to end up on Atletico with a passionate Manager like NoFace. To have that level of excitement in the locker room to get out there and just play was something that I will carry with me for the rest of my career surely."
Stevens is part of an incredible draft class that will be finding out their new franchises in the upcoming week. They will be looking at several seasons in the "Minors" of the franchises, but that doesn't seem to phase Stevens.
"I look forward to making an impact on the pitch regardless where its at in the world," said Stevens. "The SSL has a lot of history and I'm excited to potentially add my own mark to it. There is still lots of time to go before the draft so I will be doing whatever I can to impress the scouts and make sure that I make an impact with whichever franchise that decides to take a chance on me."
