Self-Scouting with Saphira Brightscales/Pidgey - PidgeyDestined - 2026-06-01
Hey guys! We're right in the middle of scouting season so I thought I might do a little self-scouting to make the jobs of all the Managers around the league just a little bit easier. I'll pick out the main questions that I ask in the DSFL, and the main questions I have seen so far in the scouting conversations I have had here in the SSL and try to get them answered so that the OM/AMs have one less person thay have to worry about a DM chain with!
What brought you to the SSL?
So, I'm a GM for the DSFL Minnesota Grey Ducks over in the ISFL. I felt like there was a LOT of users in the other of the sim leagues, and the other DSFL GMs had a leg up on me scouting the new users from these other leagues. I mainly created so that I wouldn't get left behind in scouting since the other teams had GMs established in these other leagues.
Why did you pick CD? Are you set in wanting to play as a CD?
I chose CD because I had heard there was a lack of them in the S26 Academy class, and I figured I may as well try a position that not as many people seemed to want to try out. I am not set in wanting to play anything! I will re-roll to the needs of whatever team drafts me!
What kind of earner will you be in the SSL? How will you maintain earning in the SSL?
Max earner for sure! I plan to use this league as my main league for PTs so that I can get the pay here, but also the TPE in the ISFL, and I plan to put out a few media articles, and at least one mock draft per season to be able to keep up with my max earning.
Do you have any goals for Saphira?
My only goal for Saphira is 2k+ TPE! I couldn't care less about the stats or accolades, I just want to be the best player for my team, and I can control that by consistently earning at a high level throughout my career.
Do you care to play in the Minors? Are you looking for an early shot at the majors?
Nope, not at all! I could play my entire career in the minors and be just as happy as if I played in the majors the entire time. Like I said, I just want to help my team out wherever it is they need the help.
What kind of Locker Room are you looking for?
I'm just hoping for a LR that has some excited and dedicated users to chat with! I don't know a lick about soccer, so I will probably need a lot of help building my player, but as long as I have some awesome people around me, I think I'll have a great time anywhere!
