Pidgey's Mock Draft Recap - PidgeyDestined - 2026-06-09 The Season 26 draft is finally behind us! Congrats to all of the draftee's on being selected and finding your new SSL homes! With all of that being over, I thought it would be fun to recap how I did in mocking the first two rounds of the S26 class. I want to be able to give myself a score to see how I actually did, so I am going to score it: 5 points for perfect pick, meaning correct player, correct team, correct pick. 3 points to correct team in correct round, since I did the mock before the positioning of the draft was set. 1 point will be for correct position, but wrong player. I know that it's going to be rough with this being the first mock draft I have ever done in the SSL, so I think if I can get 20 points, I will have aced my first mock for the most part lol. Let's dive in to see how I did! ROUND 1 Actual Selection 1.1 - Schwarzwalder FV - Barry McGlynn (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.1 - Schwarzwalder FV - Reece Munro (DM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.2 - Schwarzwalder FV 3 points for this one! I had the 1-2 picks flipped, but both ended up actually going to SFV. Actual Selection 1.2 - Schwarzwalder FV - Reece Munro (DM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.2 - AC Romana - Barry McGlynn (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.1 - Schwarzwalder FV Zero points here. Again, I had the first two players in the first two picks, just had the flipped backwards. Actual Selection 1.3 - AC Romana - Jimothy Erikson (CD)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.3 - Schwarzwalder FV - Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited (D/WB/M)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.12 - Hollywood FC Zero pints again. Both players were first rounders, but Erikson jumped up the boards higher than I had anticipated at the time. My fault though, as he is an AWESOME user so far! Actual Selection 1.4 - Uniao Sao Paulo - Ignignokt (D©)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.4 - CA Buenos Aires - Dennis Van Huntelrooy (M/AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.4 - CA Catalunya Zero points again. I feel like I'm going to have a lot of these lmaooo. USP couldn't pass up on an ISFL GOAT at 4. Actual Selection 1.5 - Shanghai Dragons FC - S Sei (DM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.5 - Shanghai Dragons FC - S Sei (DM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.5 - Shanghai Dragons FC Ding ding ding, 5 points! We finally have a winner! Spot on with pick, position, player! Xyan is an AMAZING ISFL user! Great pickup for Shanghai here! Actual Selection 1.6 - Xelaju Cosmico - Saphira Brightscales (CD)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.6 - Shanghai Dragons FC - STAR SCREAM (M)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.10 - CF Catalunya REACHHHHHH!!! Back to striking out again. STAR SCREAM fell a lot farther than I expected, but that's probably because of the strength at the top of this season 26 class. Questionably awesome pick for Xelaju in my completely unbiased opinion though! Actual Selection 1.7 - Shanghai Dragons FC - Joe Mormor (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.7 - Liffeyside Celtics FC - Dante Von Wolfe (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.3 - Hollywood FC 1 point for position, but that's it. Von Wolfe would drop a few more picks into the second round, but Liffeyside picks up an awesome user that ranks near the top of the class in TPE. Actual Selection 1.8 - Liffeyside Celtics FC - Jack Pow (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.8 - Reykjavik Untied - Ignignokt (D©)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.4 - Uniao Sao Paulo Zero points here. Liffeyside picks up a top user in the class, but Ignignokt is no longer on the board after going 4th to USP earlier in the draft. Actual Selection 1.9 - Reykjavik United - Kairo Vox (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.9 - Xelaju Cosmico - Jimothy Erikson (CD)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.3 - AC Romana 1 point here since Xelaju did pick up a CD, just a different one. Again, Xelaju could have definitely went Erikson had he been on the board still when they were picking a 6. Actual Selection 1.10 - Hollywood FC - Nick Kasak (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.10 - Uniao Sao Paulo - Josh Harper (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 3.5 - Shanghai Dragons FC One point here for correct position, but boy was I off on the Harper first round selection. Harper ended up sliding to the third round to Shanghai this year. Hollywood grabbed one of the top users in the draft at the back end of the first round. A true testament to how deep this draft class is. Actual Selection 1.11 - CA Buenos Aires - Moew Enbach (GK)Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.11 - Hollywood FC - Scorp E. UnShark (D/WB)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.11 - Tokyo S.C. Complete whiff here. I really should have done a better job at digging into who is managing what teams. Scorp E. UnShark is a AM pick, so it was set that they would be a 2nd round selection. Moew EnBach ends up as the first GK off the boards in season 26! Actual Selection 1.12 - Hollywood FC - Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited (D/WB/M) Pidgey's Mock Selection 1.12 - Hollywood FC - Saphire Brightscales (CD)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.6 - Xelaju Cosmico Another big whiff. Both of these players were gone well before the end of the first round, even if one is a huge REACHHHH. ROUND 2 Actual Selection 2.1 - Schwarzwalder FV - Christopher Bergmann (D/WB/M)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.1 - Schwarzwalder FV - Jack Pow (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.8 - Liffeyside Celtics FC Zero here as well. Bergmann jumped up a few spots from my mock, but he really probably should have been a first round pick in any other draft. Pow obviously wen't a little higher than I expected, but I doubt it surprised too many people. Actual Selection 2.2 - Uniao Sao Paulo - Owen Goal (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.2 - Hollywood FC - Joe Mormor (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.7 - Shanghai Dragons FC The enigmatic Owen Goal goes well before he expected to! Awesome selection for USP here with a VERY active user, even if some people wouldn't believe that here in the SSL, lol. One point for correct position for this pick as well! Actual Selection 2.3 - Hollywood FC - Dante Von Wolfe (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.3 - Uniao Sao Paulo - Nick Kasak (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.10 - Hollywood FC Another point for position! I don't know what Dante says in his interviews, but this is two drafts in the past few weeks that I believe we was drafted well below where he should have been drafted. Killer user in the ISFL, head of the ISFL commentary crew, and joining the commentary crew over here? Slam dunk pick for Hollywood in the second round. Actual Selection 2.4 - CF Catalunya - Dennis van Huntelrooy (M/AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.4 - CA Buenos Aires - Alex Pena (D)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.9 - Keykjavik United Zero points on this one. I expected Pena to go a little higher than he actually did, but again, probably due to the amazing class we had this season. Actual Selection 2.5 - Shanghai Dragons FC - Cory Stevens (D)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.5 - Shanghai Dragons FC - Christopher Bergmann (D/WB/M)Where the player I mocked actually went Not Mocked I think I might be able to claim a point for Defender here, but it looks like Stevens will play more back line and Bergmann will play more mid line so I won't claim any points here. Stevens hadn't created by the time I made my mock draft, so he was left off completely. Sorry! Actual Selection 2.6 - Xelaju Cosmico - Isaiah Ali (M)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.6 - CD Tenochtitlan - Kairo Vox (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.9 - Reykjavik United Zero points again here. I REALLYYYY should have dug deeper when doing this mock lol. Although I still don't know if Turbanator would have popped up as becoming the new AM in Xelaju this season if I would have dug deeper. Actual Selection 2.7 - CD Tenochtitlan - Blaise N'Kufo (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.7 - Liffeyside Celtics FC - Moew Enbach (GK)Where the player I mocked actually went 1.11 - CA Buenos Aires *DJ Khaled voice* Another one! Complete whiff on everything. EnBach would go almost a round higher, while I was a few picks behind with N'Kufo who I had going later in the second round. Actual Selection 2.8 - Liffeyside Celtics FC - Slabko Plackovic (AM)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.8 - Reykjavik Unted - Owen Goal (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.2 - Uniao Sao Paulo One point here for position! I believe Owen Goal would have easily been a first round pick had he joined the main server, but I guess I wasn't high enough on him in my mock! Solid pick for Liffeyside here in Plckovic as well! Actual Selection 2.9 - Reykjavik United - Alex Pena (D)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.9 - Xelaju Cosmico - Umaq Yupanqui (GK)Where the player I mocked actually went 4.2 - Tokyo S.C Another huge whiff here. I was about a round and a half too early on Yupanqui, but to be fair, I never thought Pena would still be available this far into the draft! Actual Selection 2.10 - CF Catalunya - STAR SCREAM (M)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.10 - Tokyo S.C. - Blaise N'Kufo (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 2.7 - CD Tenotchtitlan Whiff. If nothing else, I can type that word a lot quicker now lmao. N'Kufo went a little earlier than expected, while STAR SCREAM fell a little farther than I expected Actual Selection 2.11 - Tokyo S.C. - Scorp E. UnShark (D/WB)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.11 - CF Catalunya - Mullet Man (AM)Where the player I mocked actually went 4.4 - CA Buenos Aires Bad me and my poor planning for his mock draft. Should have been an easy 5 points here, but instead it's a cpplete whiff. Actual Selection 2.12 - Hollywood FC - Kaz Okada (CD)Pidgey's Mock Selection 2.12 - Martin Krpan (D)Where the player I mocked actually went 3.9 - Reykjavik United And lastly, another big whiff. Krpan would fall farther than I expected, and Okada was a late addition to the class. Doesn't surprise me with how high he went even without playing many (if any) games. Killer new user in the ISFL as well! There we have it! After adding all of my points up, I scored 13 points on my mock draft. A little under what I would call good, but a good baseline to compare my Season 27 mock draft to! Also: The 50 image rule kinda sucks lmaooo.
