Seoul's Preseason Review and Thoughts on New Season - Jakesdy - 2026-06-20
Hello everyone ! The pre-season is over and very soon we will plunge into the new season, where the next champions of the leagues and the cup will be determined. But before all this, I want to briefly review the two friendly matches that Seoul played with Rova and Cairo and share with you my thoughts and expectations about next season for both the team and me.
Our first game was with Rova. And it turned out... to put it mildly, it's hard... 0-4 and a risk-free game in the end. Overall, we were far from the favorites in this game, so the result, although unpleasant, was quite expected.
However, the next match, which we had to play against Cairo City, turned out to be quite interesting. We exchanged shots until the end of the first half, when a penalty was awarded to our goal, from which Cairo opened the scoring in the match. Nevertheless, we did not lose heart and gathered ourselves. And I'm one of them, having scored two beautiful goals from outside the penalty area from the passes of my teammates. For which I was recognized as the player of the match (for the first time in my career at a professional level, albeit in a friendly match).
So, in short, the matches were sorted out... Now the expectations for the next season... We have the potential to compete for promotion to the 1st Division, even though it is generally based on reaching the playoffs. But compared to last season, it's pretty good. We are playing Rova in the cup qualification round. It's a pretty difficult opponent, but this is football and anything can happen. And in case of a pass, a game with Hollywood will be waiting for us. If it comes to that, we won't have much chance, but it will be interesting. It's not every day that a minor team plays with a major one.
