Weekly PT #239-diary entry - DarkViper2 - 2026-06-20
Dear diary,
I arrived at the SSL Academy and put into a waiting area with other academy players while the top brass sorted out which team each of us would be playing for. I was given paperwork informing me that I will be playing for Port Royal FC for the season. After getting acquainted with my teammates it was time to go out to the practice pitch for some training for the upcoming academy season
I'm not expecting to do much in the academy, I just want to go out there and have some fun while trying to improve my game. I know after this season I'm getting drafted by a SSL team and I want to put on a good show in front of the scouts. I also know I need to be very careful on how I answer interview questions as that could tank my draft stock
It's also an exciting time for the league as I'm coming into the league in an expansion year. My goal in the draft is to try and get taken in the high rounds, ideally the 1st or 2nd. If I slip down the board, I won't get mad; I'll just put in the work to prove I should've been taken higher in the draft. At this point I don't care what team drafts me, I'll work hard mo matter what
