All Boiled Down - jacobcarson877 - 2026-06-21 Another beautiful Sunday night, after an exhausting but productive week. Sims are upon us once more, and I have been graced with the opportunity to watch Kaspars Kalinins lose player coverage on goals allowed, and be a couple passes back from a strong offensive chance for Liffeyside. I’ve come to appreciate some things being true, and those two things are dependable and reliable these days. While I certainly hope that it is more of the scoring chances on our end than the ball being buried in our net, it is still fun to see my lanky fellow whenever I can. I am a stats guy, and I like being able to see all of the pre-crunched numbers available to me on the portal, and of course, I can’t imagine how long it would take to do live games, all season long, but it is an absolute travesty that we only get to watch the highlights. The text outputs and snipped clips don’t quite do justice of for the ins and outs, the intricacies of the week to week grind we all put in for this league. We lose all of the stories of momentum, of discipline, and of structure. And it all gets boiled down into a short paragraph at the end of the week before the next one begins. |
