Weekly PT #252 - Giants Fall?

The premier league has been an interesting start of this brand new season. Going into week 5 you would think some of these giants would have easy match ups against weaker teams on paper. As typical premier league fashion we are once again shocked with some of these results of week 5 in the premier league. As some games are still happening as of today but 2 teams who you think should easily win there match ups is Chelsea and Arsenal.  Brentford defeating chelsea 3-0, The stats are in chelsea favor but goal sheet clearly states something different. Chelsea had 60% of possession compared to Brentford 40%. Shots for chelsea 12 to brentford 11. Chelsea only had 2 shots on target while brentford had 5 shots on target. What this tells me is that brentford didnt have the ball much but was good on counter attack and making there chances count in why they scored 3 goals. Brentford scored in the 61' First Minute probably shocked chelsea a bit. Chelsea continued to pressure and made mistake which is why 83' Minute brentford once again scores and puts chelsea down. Brighton on the other hand beating Arsenal giving Arsenal first loss of the season which is crazy the defending champions. Again like the brentford game , the stronger team on paper has the ball Arsenal had 57% Possession compared to Brightons 43%. Just like the other game the shots were 6 for arsenal and 14 for brighton attempted shots. Shots on target for Arsenal was 1 shot and Brighton had 5 shots on target. Brighton overall has shown great football and at the moment the highest scoring team in the Premier league. 16 Goals for currently with the biggest goal differential of 11+. Arsenal losing hurts them a little bit but at the moment doesn't effect much of there efforts to fight for the championship again. Biggest surprise so far is going have to brighton losing 4-3 to chelsea in a previous week. Just shows overall in the premier league anything can happen as you seen today with Chelsea and Arsenal giants of the premier league falling in this weeks efforts. Thanks :)
