Thoughts on My Rookie Campaign
#1
So, here we are, on the eve of the second season for Montréal United. It is a hugely important moment as they will embark in this new campaign, and expectations are high. It is also an opportunity for one of their new draft picks to make his entrance onto the scene, as it is the first season in Nicolás Inclán's hopefully long career. Can he fulfill his responsibilities to help the squad better control the midfield? Time will tell, of course. And how high of expectations can there be for a rookie in this league? Not knowing the league very well, I am not sure what I can even expect for him.

Mainly, I just want him to be strong in possession, find his teammates in transition and help solve the puzzle of getting more chances in attack. He is behind S1 and S2 players when it comes to available TPE, so I cannot expect him to boss the midfield right away. He has recently worked to improve his skills in his technique, composure, and vision. He recognized a hole in his game where he lacked the proper vision to really affect the game, so he made an effort to improve himself there as well.

Hopefully with his work rate and sticktoitiveness, he will be able to get his nose dirty to win the ball from opposing players. But all in all, I just hope he can go out there, show up on the big stage and not end up in any embarrassing situations.

I do not know where the team will end up this season, but I am definitely excited to be along for the ride. Let's go out there and give it our all for the full 90 each match. Whether win or lose, it should be interesting to follow along each week, so let's get started. Go United!
