As another season approaches, Alejandro Fuecoco feels like he’s on the precipice of a breakout season. Fuecoco has had an up and down experience so far in his career. Literally and figuratively. His play sometimes screams “future superstar in the making” while other times he can be frustrating with his play to the point where fans wonder if he’s worth the investment. While he’s had more good times than bad, it’s still notable that fans would even think that way. Management, however, has always seen him for his potential and now, with Catalunya back into the Top Tier of the SSL, they can see their faith in Fuecoco is going to be rewarded, and soon. Fuecoco’s numbers (both normal stats and advanced stats wise) are all trending upwards, and with his new offseason conditioning program, he’s one step closer to fully realizing his potential. Fuecoco set records in points, average game rating, and expected goals. He was very bothered when the team got relegated back down to league two a couple of seasons ago after a thrilling run to be promoted just before that. Now that they’ve achieved promotion again, Fuecoco admits that part of his problem was simply his own attitude, and once he started being more positive, things started going better for him, and the team. Season 28 is looking good for him, and he’s quite excited to see what the future holds. (235)
