Pascal the Penalty Prince 2-for-2
#1
Over the last several days, Pascal Anivierre has had the opportunity to play for Cairo City FC, which is what he believes will be an awesome place for him to develop into one of if not the best player the league has ever seen. So far, Pascal has scored 2 goals in 3 appearances and 8 shots, giving him a very good shooting percent of 25. However, both of his goals have come on penalty kicks.

The first strike, scored in the game against Inter London FC in the 3rd set of fixtures in the 75th minute, was a penalty after a foul in the box by Clamence. Although already down 5-nil, Pascal sent a beauty of a penalty into the back of the net, sending the opposing keeper Yeboah the wrong way completely. In only his second game, his first goal came 165 minutes into his career.

The second strike was a genuine beauty. in the 21st minute against FC Hollywood in the 4th set of fixtures, while Hollywood was a man down after a 5th minute red card, Pascal started just outside the box on a Cairo corner. After a clear by Hollywood to near midfield, a series of passes from Larsen to Atreides to Calvatore to Anivierre ended with an absolutely magnificently placed shot into the upper left corner of the goal, just past the outstretched fingertips of goalkeeper Rage. In fact, I believe it may have bounced off of Rage's hands. Whatever the case, it was certainly the highlight of Pascal's young career so far.

The third was in the 72nd minute, still against FC Hollywood, and this one too was a penalty kick. After a push by Nicolas Incian on Torres, Pascal lined up for the penalty. He shot to the bottom left corner of the net, barely beating Rage to the edge to slot his 3rd goal in as many games.

In this game against Hollywood, Pascal recorded a 7.9 rating and picked up the Player of the Match award, the first of his young career. If he continues to play as he has so far, it does not at all seem far fetched to believe that there will be many, many more to come his way.
