On this day in May, we managed to get a hold of Aimo Tälli during the last weeks of the season, so he will now answer our questions
Currently after 14 games Buenos Aires stands in tied 6th place . Are you satisfied with these results so far that you have had in the league, and what is in your opinion the biggest issue to improve on?
Definitely not satisfied, there have been many games where we did not score from our chances and also there has been many games where we have not defended accordingly and that has cost us way too many points and games. Right now we need to focus on playing together as a team, simply because our individual talents are not quite there yet, and we need to rely on all of the players to do the work if we wish to succeed in the near future. That probably has to be the biggest issue that we need to tackle. We need to not mess up this much.
Fighting against all of your personal preferences, you now have more goals than assists. Walk us through on how that has managed to happen
Despite my talent and athletism there has been more goals than assists, yes. One of the key factors here is that we run our formation with more midfielders than forwards. If we would have more forwards, then naturally the goal distribution would be more towards the strikers, but right now when we have more vacancy in the midfield, of course it will be seen as more goal distribution in the midfield. Its not that our strikers cannot score, it is just simply because we run the ball more on the midfield than the outer lines of the field. Second is that I have just been at the right place at the right time, and thats just as simple as that.
