Hey All, hope everyone is enjoying themselves thus far in the SSL. In this post, we are introducing our system for how Season 1 of the league will work out.<br> <br>So far there has been a little bit of confusion around the system in our rulebook surrounding a waiver wire system, and in the interest of keeping things simple in Season 1, and making sure every team starts off on the right foot, we will be using a traditional draft system for the Season 1 Draft that you may be used to from other leagues.<br> <br>- Every General Manager will automatically get their player onto their team, and will not have to use a draft pick on them.<br>- The draft lottery will take place, and will determine the order of the first round of the draft. In the subsequent rounds, the order will constantly be reversed in a serpentine style system (Ex: 1,2,3,4,5,6,6,5,4,3,2,1,1,etc).<br>- Trades will not be allowed during this Season 1 Draft to allow every team to maintain a little balance for this first season.<br>- The draft will take place over the whole next week starting on Tuesday 11/23/21. There will be a public draft thread in which the GMs will directly make their picks in, to keep the whole draft process public.<br>- There will be a 12 hr clock on every selection, to which if 12 hrs pass without a selection, the next GM is free to pick, and the GM skipped, can pick whenever they get back online.<br>- Anyone that creates after the draft will be eligible to be drafted once all other prospects have been drafted.<br><br><br>What does this mean for you. If you have not created yet, make sure to get the creation in before Tuesday 12 AM, which is when the clock will officially start. GMs have already started reaching out to talk to prospects, and will keep doing that.<br> <br>Any other questions, feel free to ask and I or one of the Admins/BoD will get to it.
