There are so many ideas that come to mind when I think about Dream Expansion teams. There are so many potential cool branding and teams that could work really well. However when I think of all the possibilities there is one team that comes to mind. The Singapore Merlions. What the fuck did I just say and is it even in English might be something you're wondering, but rest be assured I will explain everything.
Singapore is a smaller island country located in South East Asia (SEA) and is a very famous country that's known for being very densely populated and one of the biggest global financial centres in the world. Although the country may not exactly have the population that other big cities and regions may have, the financial benefits are endless, not to mention the possibility of increasing interest in the sport throughout the country that has historically struggled to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. This team would also give Tokyo SC some major competition for the asian demographic as well.

It has been featured in all kinds of media, usually in a cameo but the Merlion is also the official mascot of Singapore! The Merlion is a half mermaid, half lion that can be discovered all over the country. The Merlion has been all over pop culture and media in various formats, in 2018, the Merlion made a number of cameos all over the famous movie, Crazy Rich Asians. In 2021, a Singaporean hero called Big Red Dot, had a costume design that was clearly based on a Merlion. Similarly, the mascot had made appearances in Cowboy Bebop, Phineas and Ferb, Yu-Gi-Oh, Jojo's Bizarra Adventure. It was also in video games, being showcased in Animal Crossing, Scribblenauts, FlightGear and even Mario Kart Tour.
Overall, the mascot is an amazing and iconic one that would be an incredible fit with the country/city of Singapore and would be easy for people all over the world to cheer for.
