Preseason Stuff
#1
With his debut season in Division 2 rapidly approaching, Tata has been spending time bonding with teammates and adjusting to city life in the metropolis of London. The restaurants and culture are nothing like his home in Divo, Ivory Coast, but his time in Belgium helped him avoid a complete culture shock. Even still, the high pace of the city can be overwhelming. To combat that, Tata joined some of his teammates for a calm meditation session in their garden. Garden culture is certainly something Tata didn't know about, but has learned to appreciate. There's something naturally relaxing about being in the garden; the fresh smell of the flowers; the soft chittering of the various critters. It all combines to soothe the beating heart and bring you back to your center.

Matt Le Tissier was the first to notice in a warmup before a preseason game that Tata didn't seem himself. So he approached him with the offer to join for a meditation, in an effort to reduce that stress and bring back his connection with the forces of the Earth. Tata agreed without hesitation because he remembered some of the gardens he helped his mother tend back in Divo and how relaxing and beautiful they could be. And now each morning, before their first training session, Tata joins Le Tissier in his garden for a session of deep controlled breathing and introspection. Their friendship has taken off quickly in the preseason, and could very much translate to success on the pitch, as chemistry is vital to success. They discuss tactics and help each other improve from day to day by talking about training sessions from the day before. This dynamic is pushing these two to realize even more of their potential than previously possible. But perhaps the most important benefit of these meditations is that they will allow Youre to stay grounded and calm in the face of danger during games. Watch out.
