Reykjavik Experiencing Growing Pains
#1
With lots of hope and promise coming into Season 7, Reykjavik was looking forward to a great season, one where promotion was something that was a possibility. However, while the bright young talent of Reykjavik was ready, it seems like they still had a lot of progression ahead of them before they could be considered a top team in Division 2.

At the time of writing this, Reykjavik currently sit 5th on the Division 2 table, 7 points out of a promotion spot. Focusing solely on the division matches, as the cup matches were not something they were expecting to really make any noise, and a tough draw made it even harder for them to make an impact.

From a divisional standpoint, Reykjavik have not looked all that great in their matches this season. 2 of their 3 wins have come against Accra and Laos, the bottom 2 teams in the division. In their other games, they have looked like passengers. Giving up possession very easily, not moving the ball and having too many lapses in judgement and giving the opposition space to attack. The core is young, and they will have to learn, but if it continues like this, promotion into Division 1 is still a few seasons away, and this core will have to continue improving if they want to have any sort of impact in the league.
