S9 is well under way at this point and for Wesley Stains, it has been pretty amazing. After getting loaned out to rival FC Catalunya, it would be the first time that Stains would play on a squad other than Cairo City. It was very exciting to be to play in Division 1 again this season despite my home club being demoted to division 2. I was unsure of what to expect from Stains in a new uniform and system, but the results have been pretty great so far. Catalunya is having a solid year so far, sitting 3rd in the Division 1 Table and advancing through to the round of 8 despite being put into the group of death with 3 other Division 1 teams. Stains has been having the best season of his career in Catalunya, finally proving to be one of the best midfielders in the SSL. In 6 league appearances, Stains has 2 goals and an assist and over a 7.0 match rating. In 2 cup appearances, Stains has 1 assist and over a 7.1 match rating. Stains has been very effective in pressing, working as a key distributor, and getting involved in the offense. Stains has fit in immediately with Catalunya. Perhaps management will be interested in bringing him in long term after the season is over.
