Another blockbuster trade has taken place in the SSL and this time the deal is between two longtime rivals: Cairo City FC and FC Catalunya. After being loaned to Catalunya last season, there had been rumors linking Wesley Stains to Catalunya in a permanent transfer all offseason, but it seemed like that ship had sailed as the season had begun. Stains played in the first match of Cairo’s Division 2 season, and despite not playing very impressively, Stains looked poised to lead the young squad throughout the season
However, it seems like Cairo City received an offer they could not refuse, as Stains was moved to Catalunya in the late hours of the night. In return for center midfielder Wesley Stains, the top TPE player from the S4 class, Catalunya sent a S11 and S12 1st round pick as well as fellow S4 player, attacking mid Floppy McFlopface. McFlopface is lower in TPE than Stains by quite a bit, he should still be a great offender contributor for the future. On top of that, Cairo receives 2 first rounders to further their rebuild. Cairo will surely look to select some midfielders with these firsts to replace the hole left by Stains who had been with the club since S4.
