Knezevic enjoying strong start with new team
After a successful start to his career in the SSL academy, Ivica Knezevic has recently signed a contract with Reykjavik United and has since been loaned to the teams division two affiliate, Red Star Laos. There, Knezevics success from his academy days seemed to continue almost uninterrupted, with much of the story being the same: His team dominating play and sitting at the top of the standings with a comfortable margin, while not really taking too much of the spotlight and having other people be the face of the team at the moment.
For a young player that is still trying to find his footing in a new league, I think that's all you can ask for really, a low-key but rock solid performs that proves that you can howl with the big dogs, even if you might not quite be there yet where you can dominate play by yourself. Both Laos and Knezevic will be very happy about what they are getting from each other so far.
At the same time, Laos' major league affiliate and the team that Knezevic is signed with, is smiling down at the rest of the league from atop the Standings as well. Such a dominant organisation does offer prime opportunities to win championships, but it will also mean that it'll be tougher than in most other places to crack the line-up for the first team.
