The draft is only hours away, and Laurent is starting to get nervous. A hot commodity coming into the draft, the attacking midfielder is starting to get increasingly anxious about his new place to live, his future team, his future fans and his future team mates. After spending the week talking to 7 of the 8 managers in the league coming into the draft, he has an increasing idea of where he will end up. A top 10 pick is looking more likely each passing day as the teams are looking to settle in for their future stars.
With that being said, a top 5 pick is looking increasingly unlikely at this point. The teams picking in those first 5 positions are either not looking for the type of player Laurent is, or they have a couple of other really strong candidates ahead of him.
Prefered destinations? All of the locations have its pros! Cairo being the recent winner, with London still looking on the up despite a fall later in the season. Rio and the beautiful beaches as they are looking to bring in some more skill into their midfield. Catalunya are close to home, and Montreal are close to his heart speaking the same language. Hollywood would love what Laurent could bring for entertainment while Tokyo could give him the keys to the team. Athenai has a ton of midfielders already, but it's also a place he could grow in piece without the obligation to deliver from the very start.
The decision however is out of his hands. In just a couple of hours his fate is decided for him. Where he ends up matters less, as the team willing to pick him before the others have a chance at him will show him a great amount of faith.
