Marco Tentacles - The Career so far
#1
Marco Tentacles joined the league a little late into his first academy season, playing 6 games for the Victoria Falls Eagles and putting up 1 assist and an average rating of 7.07. The hardworking defensive minded left back isn't a dynamic offensive player and likes to play short simple passes and shut down the winger on his side rather than trying to dribble up and take shots himself. Falling to Reykjavik United at 8th overall, Tentacles has been slotted into the minor league team where he can take time to develop his overall game in a strong minor league squad before making the jump to the SSL. This has benefited both Tentacles and North Shore greatly, with Marco tallying 56 interceptions, 38 successful tackles, 2 goals and 3 assists to go along with an average rating of 7.31 in his first minor league season. North Shore would go on to win the Minor Championship this season but fell to Schwarzalder FV in the Cup games.

Marco would improve over the offseason and come back with a much better well rounded game. He wasn't getting beat on headers as much this season, and improved his tackles won to 65 and interceptions to 75. He had 2 goals and 8 assists and improved his average match rating to 7.45. North Shore would go on to win the Minor Championship again this season, with 12 more points than the second place team and only 1 loss. In the Cup games, North Shore was a surprise and managed to take out fellow minor league team Inter London before moving on and dispatching Hollywood FC. They would go on to face off against their Major division squad Reykjavik United in the final, where a close back and forth game would see Tentacles score a goal for North Shore to make it 2-0, before the game went to extra time and then tied in the final minutes to make it 4-4. The match ended up going to penalties, where North Shore became the second ever Minor division team to win the SSL cup. Marco Tentacles has an impressive resume in his first few seasons already and after improving over the offseason before returning to North Shore again, he hopes to continue building more team success and try to help North Shore win the Minor League again.
