League and Cup Champions

Congratulations to Reykjavik United and North Shore United for winning their respective leagues once again. Congratulations to CA Buenos Aires for winning their second SSL Cup!

End of Season

This upcoming Monday (September 9th) marks the start of the off-season and as usual some pieces of information to note.

Pending FA period
Any player that is on an expiring contract (no contract signed for S17) is considered a pending free agent at the start of the off-season. Organizations may at that time contact a pending FA and negotiate a contract. The player is not a free agent until the start of the next season thus they may still sign an extension with their current team during the week without reducing the team's transfer budget. We just make to make one thing clear: A manager may not force a player to provide intent to sign. This week is intended for players to be able to talk to teams and be shown alternatives for how their future may look.

Re-rolls and redistribution
S15 players have one last chance this week to submit a re-roll or redistribution for their player via the portal.

Claiming old tasks
This is the final week to claim old tasks from S15 in the After portal claims thread. S15 started on May 13th or AC#130 and ended on July 14th or AC#138.

SSL Prospect Draft and Next Draft Class
We are also gearing up for the SSL Prospect that is set to take place on September 15th.

Due to the changes with the portal, the new draft class will officially start up on September 16th with the start of the new season. Any players creating during the week of September 9th to September 15th will not be approved until the following week.

Regression and Portal
This will be the first season where regression will be handled completely within the portal. Regression will be run on Monday or Tuesday and the resulting TPE will be directly removed from each affected player's TPE total. A regression post will be published on the forum which will also indicate players that are automatically retired.

The deadline for regressing your player in the portal is September 20th.
