Millwall eager for his minor league debut
#1
As his minor league debut with Montreal United edges closer and closer, Cameron Millwall gets more and more excited to get his opportunity to make it in pro football. Coming off a solid Academy season with Stockhom IK that saw him propel his draft stock as high as eighth overall in the S19 draft. His initial role with Montreal is expected to be of lesser significance, especially as he makes the tough transition to pro football. Montreal does have quite the broad core of younger prospects hovering on the edge of SSL football.

While the days of playing in the SSL major league with his parent club Schwarzwälder FV do seem way, way ahead into the future, they are not impossible to achieve. "As always, I think it's a matter of persistence and perseverance," Millwall said in a recent media availability session. "No matter what talent has been naturally gifted to me: If I'm not willing to work my behind off each and every day, there's not even the slightest chance I will ever come close to playing in the major league."

The defensive midfielder will have a lot of competitors to pass on the way to stardom. His versatility, being able to slot in at central midfield and centerback alike,  will certainly come in handy for him in order to obtain some much-needed playing experience on the pitch.
