Sam Albinson had finally had a taste of goal, and even helping others score as well. 2 goals and 3 assists by match day 4 was even better than he had hoped, despite the lacklustre game from him at the start which he knew wasn't acceptable. After that first match, he practised in his own garden for what must have been hours, the sun going down long before he decided to call it a day. He realised that if he really wanted to do what he always wanted, a combination of hard work, building chemistry with his teammates and laser focus on rising to the top was the perfect recipe to allow him to do so.
Trainings had only gotten easier and easier for Albinson, even though the constant activity had tired his body down, he was able to keep up. Despite this, he didn't even stop putting in the effort. He had occasional thoughts of just slowing down, maybe taking a few more minutes longer to rest than he needed, but he knew how destructive these thoughts could be. He pushed them away, focusing on his dream that knew he has to fulfil, even if it was just to prove it to himself that he could actually do it.
After weeks of nonstop training, he finally allowed himself to have a rest. Despite his choice of sport requiring him to have high energy and communication between him and his teammates, Sam Albinson just enjoyed staying in and having some peace quiet. He had recently taken up yoga as a way to calm himself and relax his muscles, recommended by his mother who was just as desperate as him to see him shine and make it to the top. He popped on a movie or two for a couple hours before doing some meditating to clear his mind and prepare himself both his sleep and the days coming ahead.
He eventually headed to bed, laying down and focusing on his next game. A tough one, but one that he was going to try his hardest in nontheless.
