Welcome back to S20 Academy Best XI by LemonBluu! I’ve got a shorter article this time since I’m a bit busy, but it includes some big changes! The LemonBluu algo has been updated to normalize the input data so we can get some better player valuations!
Currently the LemonBluu gives players scores that are based 2/3s on TPE total and the rest on simulation performance, so if you want to score higher, score some goals and earn some TPE!
Again, we find ourselves in a place where our players do not have a skill-set that overlap in a way to make a cohesive team, aka all of you are wing-backs and no one is a CB that is scoring well. LemonBluu may be underscoring CBs, so I’ll have to take a look at that!

GK: Denis Mobek (Pablo Kawasaki)
Goalkeeping is quite easy this time around, we’ve got Mobek leading the way and is the clear number one in the S20 class.
DEF: Cesare Pinkman, Timo Geurts, Carlos Narvaez Jr., Badrick Blackwood V, Tyranno Criminal (Jonny Foster, Andres De Giron)
Again we’re just stuck with loads of wingers and unable to make an actual back-line with a CB to anchor us. I’ve morphed our formation into a 3-4-3 to kind of take advantage of that width and hope that Geurts can slide over in the CB because he was the final starter and so he’ll have to deal with it.
MID: Tony Delvecchio, Alexis Ramos, Xavius Kenderlin (Norberts Slakteris, Slamsonnur Biglehoward, Santiago Mitidiero)
A lovely midfield, we’ve got so many options and so many players to fill in different roles, especially coming off the bench at halftime. With this level of flexibility, our midfielders lean towards the aggressive but will have to do more of the defensive work and shape holding because our defenders just want to run up the sidelines.
ST: Kim Minjeong, Niklas Jørgensen (Dom Patterson)
Somehow I’m back in the lineup after a disastrous game! Since I got selected as the first Striker, I put myself in the forward spot but with Jørgensen supporting. Should be a good crop and it’s crazy that Dobric wasn’t chosen.
Lastly, I’ve got some more player valuations and I’ll go deeper in next week’s article!
