The past week in Seoul has been disappointing for Carolien Miedema and the team as they're falling short of the organizations expectations of them. Training sessions have become longer, more physically tasking for everyone on the team. Carolien couldn't blame the coaches for their lack of performance in the past week unlike preseason and the first matchday, goals have become almost none existent for Seoul and it wasn't for a lack of trying, they were creating chances just to throw the chances away on their own doing. Second matchday a game against Montreal United was the start of a bad week for Seoul as they fell 2-0 being shut out by Montreal wasn't a good start to the week as their next game was a cup game. Being in group D wasn't the best situation for Seoul being put in a group with Schwarzwalder, Kaapstad and Inter London. Luck wasn't on their side as for the first round of group stage they drew against Schwarzwalder, if being shut out by their minor league team wasn't enough the game before playing the major league affiliate wasn't any better. The game was as most would of expected Seoul losing but surprisingly wasn't shut out losing 4-1. Finally the last game of the week was Seoul vs Kaapstad in league play and again it was a disappointing result as they changed up their tactic before the game and still ended up losing 3-0, getting shut out for the second time in the week.
