The small budget horror film that Zoe was a background character in was set to premiere in just under 18 hours. The premise of the movie was pretty simple; A diner shuts down for 24 hours, and the outside world is frozen stiff. The directors wanted to make a movie around that "dumb blonde" trope,. but make that blonde the only survivor of that showing. It was an exciting thing, to act like she was being murdered. She was excited for the movie's premiere too, but that was much much later, the next day. It wasn't a theater movie, yet. It was just a YouTube home-made film, and things like that. It was about an hour long regardless, and she found the major plot points interesting.

Zoe showed up to the set, about half an hour late. She had a bit of a frown on her face, showing up late was something of an unprofessional manner.
The director was yelling to himself in another language, maybe a Slavic one, when he looked up, the big name he was spending quite a lot of money for finally showing up. Zoe did look slightly out of breath, but on the inside, she was probably fine. It wasn't like she was going to die from overexertion after only 50 minutes of running. She ran maybe double that time sometimes, it was interesting.
Starting with the biggest part of the single scene she was in, the masked killer, who was really just one of the director's friends to save budget, slammed a rubber hammer onto her stomach. This was to mostly prevent injuries, since a real hammer would hurt if you did that same motion. It didn't hurt whatsoever, and the motion looked fluid enough. With that, the director went to the next scene with her character involved, which would be just a shot of the main character freaking out and running away while Zoe's face got bashed in with the aforementioned hammer. Hopefully post-production would make this look better.
As she heard the director yelling "cut" to indicate the end of the scene, something about her just urged her to stay on the set. She could've easily just ran home, but maybe she could help. She studied a bit of film making over the last few years since she wanted to make a documentary about her father, but that didn't really pan out without much motivation. She stood behind the camera this time, staring at the blank sheet of paper that was labeled "scenes." Maybe this really wasn't planned out the best. The guy did seem friendly enough, but that's about it for the planning aspect.

A notification popped into Zoe's inbox while she was taking her afternoon power nap about a premiere going live. It was the premiere of the film on YouTube. The initial impressions seemed kind of suspicious of the unnamed director and the use of big names in something like this, but there wasn't much time for discussion as the premiere started. The 28 people who had been waiting witnessed something that Zoe would call more along the lines of mediocre at worst and alright at best, but the action scenes were amazing. Maybe that was the director's specialty, or maybe it was just poor editing in post. She didn't really know.
After the end of the premiere, many people were a little bit... confused. There was a lot to be desired, and in something like a diner, there wasn't much room for hiding. With that in mind, what kind of plot armor allowed the protagonist survive? It left a weird taste in Zoe's mouth.
