GRADED: Gibra's half time huff shows he has some way to go to in terms of maturity

A lot has been said about Gibra's temperament since he 'burst on the scene' in last years academy. The goals were never up for debate but his behaviour off the pitch seemed to make more headlines than the football. Late night visits to Thai massage parlours, late night parties in his penthouse and an addiction to Toblerone made him one of the more talked about players but for all the wrong reasons. Keen to dispel his negative media image he knuckled down and became a popular player amongst his teammates but it was ultimately too late to make amends when he was deemed to be damaged goods at the end of season draft. That night has been talked about by pundits ever since but Gibra has been quick to put it to the back of his mind going into the new season with Seoul Mythic and once again his goals have just about done enough to silence the critics.

At the time of typing this Gibra is third in the scoring charts but it's worth noting he has played less minutes than the two above and this stat brings us to the story...Gibra was subbed for the first time in his Seoul career, being hooked at half time after an uninspiring team performance. Mythic went on to get a huge point against one of the top teams in the league so they'll go away happy but Gibra's face said it all as he took his seat on the bench in the second half. Professional lip readers made out the words 'scapegoat' as he chatted to fellow subs although the Swede has played this down insisting he said 'great coat' to a passing steward. The Geordie Swede sulked for next twenty minutes, pointing out players he felt were playing just as bad as he was and it is said the manager picked up on this. Luckily for Gibra he saw sense and quickly got over the embarassment he faced in the locker room and realised it's all about the team not just his individual development. Gibra was up on his feet, even racing into the technical area at one point to cheer on his teammates as they held on for a draw which arguable could have been a win.

Gibra walked onto the pitch with a big smile at full time, embracing his teammates. His short tantrum shows there is still work to be done and the rumours he is seeing a local therapist will please the gaffer but it's clear Gibra just wants to win games and score goals. The big question is will he start the next game? Seoul looked no better going forward without him which may give him hope but the manager isn't afraid to mix things up and no one's place is guaranteed as Seoul look to mount a serious title challenge.
