GRADED: New Face at the Academy(JR, PT)
#1
INTERVIEW

David Lock, Reporter, TSLN to Juan Rodriguez, LM, The SSL Academy

DL: "Well hello there peeps, this is your fav reporter David Lock. We are here today to talk with the newest addition to the prestigious academy of SSL, Juan Rodriguez. So Mr. Rodriguez, let's start with your introduction shall we?"

JR: "Ahh. Please drop the formalities Mr. David. Juan is fine. So.......the name's Juan Rodriguez. If you don't know me you will soon. I play Left Mid, and can move up the wing to play left forward or move down to play left back as secondary positions. I was scouted into the academy a few weeks ago and assigned to Sydney City for the Academy League. And then here I am!"

DL: "Great. So Mr. Rodri- I mean Juan, can you tell me more about your playstyle. Like what should be our expectation of you?"

JR: "Well, I play the wing and that is it. All I look for is to control the ball my side of the field and push the ball up, down or towards the center depending on the situation. And as for expectations - Well, let's just say the ball is never leaving us towards the left."

DL: "You got some confidence there Juan. Is that the mentality you carry within your games?"

JR: "Well in my games.....I don't really know. You see my attitude within games is hard to define. All I care about once on field is to win. I don't care about how or what it takes. I just want to win and all my plays relate to it."

DL: "I see, we got a winner here eh. What made you this way? You know, your origin story."

JR: "Hey, you making it sound like I am some superhero. Let me tell you, I am nothing but a simple man. As a boy I spent most of my time playing ball in the streets of Toledo. Back then all I cared about was to keep the ball at my feet. And then it came. A club game against the local rivals. I remember keeping the highest possession in the game. All that to lose 1-0 due to a small mistake and a hoard of missed chances. And that made me realize the importance of winning, how football is more than just one player."

DL: "Now that's some story. Now let's mirror it. What do you expect of the public?"

JR: "Watch and cheer. That might sound easy - even insulting. But it is the most a fan can do, and it is very important. You see without your cheers and support, our Morale could get really low at times."

DL: "And what about your team? What do you expect of them?"

JR: "Well that would be complicated. There are a few expectations I have of them, but the most important lesson I want is experience and learning. Like it is the Soccer 'Academy' for a reason. We are here to learn. And that is all I expect of them."

DL: "I see. Now, let's move up a notch and get to the REAL QUESTION here. Which team you would rather play for in the League?"

JR: "Montreal United in the Minors, Tokyo for the Majors. You see, Montreal has quite the rich history of winning the Minors, and I would really like to be it's part. As for Tokyo, I just feel their playstyle resonates with me, and I think I can provide them with a lot more than I can for any other teams.

DL: "Great. So you feel these teams can win their respective leagues?"

JR: "I dunno of the minors, but I feel Sao Paolo has a high chance to take the Majors home this season. They have played the perfect football till now, and if this continues the league is theirs.

DL: "Great. That is all for today. Nice talking to you and have a great season!"

JR: "Yeah I will. Thanks mate."
