"Kovács SSL academy first week mixed results"
#1
After our article last week, we continued to closely follow Kovács in his first official week as an SSL Academy player.

The first match was an away game against Atlético. The match where Kovács did not much more than cover a lot of distance. Launching four shots, of which three at the goal. With an acceptable 6.7 rating I don't think he can be too unhappy with his SSL debut in the notoriously difficult away games in the academy league. Suffering a 5-3 loss.

"Not my best performance ever" he said to the press after his performance.

On his second match, his form was a lot better. Especially very effective in the first 45 minutes of the game. In the 11th minute he gave a good pass onto Smalls who then obliterated the top left corner with a blistering shot, defeating Bufoon for the first time. In minute 21 a great through ball with the outside left on Boudreaux Jr who then made no mistake in front of the Sidney keeper. In the 33rd minute, it was Kovács turn to find the top left corner after a great pass from legend Tom Pedersen. With Smalls' second goal Stockholm IK celebrated half time with a 4-0 lead. Sidney won the second half with two goals from legends Dogwood Maple and Vins Vins in minute 71 and 85. Fiery Chicken managed to score Stockholm's 5th in minute 75. Final score 5-2. With a perfect 10.0 rating by the so called experts, Kovács was crowned as man of the match.

"I'm ecstatic tonight, a goal and two assists AND voted of player of the match", Ozzy said. "I expected Smalls to grab it with the way he killed it in front of the goal"

Stay tuned for more in next weeks reporting of our new local hero in daily local.

The second match shows the exact reason Kovacs was rated highly by Stockholm's scouting department prior to this season and hopefully this performance of his continues as we move on, throughout this season!-- Stockholm Manager

What a way too make a name for yourself, the stuff debuts are dreamed of.

Solid effort here, the article reads clearly and highlights an effort to isolate key details about the game going a touch above and beyond. I'd say if it's two games you could have dragged it out over a few articles perhaps or even just made this one longer to compensate for the abundance of information.
