Fry winds down the season
#1
Match Day 18.

Bernardo Fry prepared for yet another offensive nightmare.  The season had been a tough one, despite his best efforts.  Still thinking about his lack of leadership and finishing, Bernardo stepped onto the pitch.  Perhaps today would be the day.  Not a great season, but maybe a fantastic match.

Fry waited for his chance, Luiz Jr. playing the ball high.  A dreadfully misplayed corner kick sealed the deal.

On the counterattack, the post leapt in the way and blocked the shot, an outstanding play.  Still, Fry kept at it, spraying passes out left and right.  Qartista was the beneficiary of the possession, but somehow the referee decided his shirt sleeve was offside.  Disappointing.

Fry stole the ball adroitly from the defender, but the header was saved.  Luckily, the counterattack also failed, as the keyboard warrior leaned forward too hard.

Twinkletoes continued a good season, finding saves where no reasonable man would expect them.  Tenochtitlan really was piling up the pressure, and it was only 30 minutes in.

Damn, Fry struck the ball square off the post at 34 minutes, nearly putting his side up.  Another point or two of Finishing would have done the job.

Shinji Kaido made no mistake, putting CDT up a goal.

Despite being the top rated first half player, Fry found himself unproductive in the first half.  He pulled himself up by his bootlaced and downed a Slurm Plus, in the style of the fans.

Pokemon went around the Cataluna defense and easily passed the ball into the goal, very poor.  As if they weren't even there.  Fry would need to work harder.

Possession in the defensive half is not a strength of Cataluna, another turnover and goal lead to the third goal, sealing the deal for CDT.
