Kalinins' Full Season Review
#1
Well, the Academy season is over, and Stockholm did not in fact go out with a bang, but instead a truly miserable whimper. Now, a win wasn’t exactly expected after a tumultuous season, but approaching a draw would have been a pleasant way to conclude this chapter. Instead, we got packed in a box and ejected into the ocean for 90 straight minutes.

But, with all 14 games in the Index now, we can properly review the entirety of what Kaspars Kalinins was able to put together this season.

There are a few statistics that stand out. The first is that he ran the 6th most distance, running nearly 190km. He scored a goal, sometime in the early middle of the season if I remember, which made up one of his 7 shots on target. Considering he only shot 15 times, his accuracy was moderately decent. He did not get the ball as many times as his peers to turn into passes, but he was among the most efficient per pass. In both of his cross attempts he was successful, however on the other side, he had a dismal 21% success rate with his head. He was by no means a dribbler, opting to make short simple passes instead. He made a respectable amount of tackles and interceptions, relative to some of his peers, however he joined a few of his Stockholm teammates in committing the most errors leading to goals.

Nothing super flashy, but always good to get a score. We'll see how Kalinins does in the big boy leagues!
