Academy Tasks are a cool way to do new player stuff for the league, and with being no longer IA and a new player here, I forgot about a few of the specifics of the league, not that it mattered since I didn't do much, since I hadn't done much here anyway. But I'd like to look at some of the differences in the leagues I'm in, now that I've been actively writing PTs for a couple months because of PBE. First off, it's easy to get excited and active in a league when something IRL is happening like the baseball post-season (go Blue Jays), and getting involved in the sim league for that sport is fantastic, and with the World Cup happening soon, I'm sure I'll feel the same about the SSL viewing. Once you're in one league, it's easy to be in another, like me and the PBE leading into the SSL.
The affiliates are the main thing, once you do a PT in one league, you can just easily port that work over in another league. For me, as someone who doesn't really write PTs in the ISFL (my main league), it was hard to justify being in another league since I don't write PTs therefore my player will suck. The SSL is different in that it's super casual, the earning is quick, you don't need to do any weekly training, and the money is quite different. There are some parts of this league I'd like to copy over in the ISFL, specifically with media writing and responses to media counting as PTs.
Certain parts like money not porting over is kinda cool and interesting, not that I'm super interested in that in other leagues as I'd be quite poor and have done a bunch, but for a league where I don't have cash, kinda sick! I think I'm +money after creating here based on that rule lol.
