Matias has been called by the SFV/MTL organization to a press conference before a team of journalists that Matias has never had the displeasure of meeting. He paces around the room wondering what questions they may ask him, or what he may say first. He gets the word to walk into the next room, Matias tries to keep his composure as the lights from the cameras flash. He sits down and in front of him is a mic and a shirt, the black and white that represents SFV, with his name on the back. He clears his throat, looking sternly at the reporters as he always does, and finally says, "Boom, Boom, Boom, Matias is in the room". The journalists don't know what to do, they didn't expect this phrase to come from such a serious looking man like Matias, nevertheless the shouts begin to rise, reporters jumping out of their seats waiting to get a chance to ask Matias a question. Matias finally points to a woman, who is basically dunking over the reporter in front of her. The woman first asks what does he mean by that statement and what does making it to SFV mean to him. Matias promptly answers, "I mean what I said, boom, boom, boom, I am indeed in this room? To respond to the latter half of that question, it means really everything to me and my family, I feel a real kinship with the organization. I know I will try and be as impactful as I know I can be as soon as I step onto that pitch. Unfortunately, my one season as captain of Montreal did not end with a title. But, having a pinecone in goal and still finishing 4th I feel was good enough."
Matias leans away from the mic momentarily and finally decides to leave his lips sealed, the press officer says Matias would only take one more question. A roar washes over the press room of journalists once again pleading like children at the playground to get selected first onto the pickup team for the supposed "aura" that comes with it. Matias finds an older man towards the back of the room, the man grabs the mic from the press officers hands, and begins his question with a statement, "You are certainly not the brightest center defender in the league, and certainly not the strongest, Montreal really only did well because of the attacking prowess they showed in the final third with the likes of Grimace, Dobrić, and Cade Power. You won't be moving up with Grimace and Dobrić has left the organization for what many argue are pastures with little green and a lot of rot, but different pastures nevertheless." Matias interjects, "If I wanted to hear an old man talk I would listen to countless politicians I don't care for, ask your question old man". The old man continues, "The youth have no respect anymore! Well, how do you think SFV will fair this season with its losses in front and a new, less experienced center defender at the back who is not the brightest or the strongest?"
Matias takes a deep breath, something suggested to him by the organizations anger management counselor, and finally parts his lips to speak, "Finally the senile old man utters his question. Well, while we have lost some key pieces in the organization, with a real goalkeeper at the back and Power looking more like a one man army every day, I have a good feeling about this season. It has been too long since the SFV organization has tasted the sweet nectar of success, and I think that time is getting ever so close to ending. To rebuke your claim of not being the brightest, last time I checked, I wasn't on hospice watch by my family, may they take you out of the press box and to an old persons home! Glory to SFV, glory to Montreal, and may I put fear into the hearts of attackers and assurance into the heart of my beloved goalkeeper, the man whose name is so nice, you must say it twice, Williams Williams!" Matias takes the SFV shirt, displays it like any other player would, and walks out to a chorus of more questions from the incessant journalists that will chirp until hell hath frozen over. Matias is now no longer in the room, boom, boom, boom.
