It's Thursday, it's cup day! Inter London plays Montréal United for a place in the round of 16 for the SSL cup. Inter plays in their usual 4-2-3-1 against 5-1-3-1 on the Canadian side.

It's Inter London that takes the initiative off the kick-off, pressuring Montreal and producing two shots that miss the target in the first 10 minutes. The biggest chance in the first 20 minutes is for Paya. Kovács finds Wad in the middle, passes on to Cappallieri who sets up Paya in front of the Montréal goalie. But Talvik saves.

25 minutes in there's a huge chance for Montréal, Silakka sees Szarekh King on the right wing with oceans of space. Crosses it to the far post where the ball finds Minjeong's head but finds Gun Jr in his way with a great save. The corner that follows finds Bear for the clear, but that ball finds Minjeong who tries his luck with a spectacular bicycle kick, but can't create a real dangerous opportunity, definitely earning some style points with that action.

Over the first 30 minutes it's London that has the upper hand, creating more and higher quality chances. Other than three bookings on the English sides and the best performance coming from Montréal keeper Talvik with a 7.1, there is not much to mention heading into the halfway break.

The second half goes underway. Cain replaces Volkan for Inter, Bob Kronkowski will play the second half against his old club, replacing Kim Minjeong.

London continues to put pressure on the Canadians early in the second half. 10 minutes in it's Gun Jr with a mighty kick from behind that finds Cain alone in front of the keeper, though he can't finish the job and put Inter in the lead.

We have to wait until the 70th minute for the first goal of the game. It's Paya that breaks free on the right wing and sends a sharp low cross to the center. The ball passes just in front of Cappallieri, but it's Cain that taps the ball behind Talvik. 1-0 to London with 20 minutes on the clock.

Montréal strikes back in minute 74 out a corner. Bear clears the corner from Grimace, Kronkowski picks up and finds Silakka in the center. Silakka passes back to Grimace who finds Kronkowski and Kronkowski finds the net behind Gun Jr. However the assistant referee raised his flag for offside. The goal does not stand and London escapes. The next minute it's London back on the attack. Cain takes the free kick to O'Neill, who turns around Grimace and shoots at goal, his shot gets deflected by the United defense and leaves Talvik with no chance to get his hands on the ball. Lucky strike but a well deserved 2-0 lead for the English team.

London kept control and played out the match for a 2-0 win and placement for the SSL Cup round of 16! It's Nepa Paya who gets awarded the trophy for top performer.
